Clubhouse events are not hall events

Most of what we cater in Monroe happens in a community clubhouse: a fixed room, a warming kitchen, a booking window that ends when it ends, and a residents’ committee that has done this before and knows exactly what went wrong last time. We plan to the room and to the clock, and we leave it cleaner than we found it because the next booking is an hour later.

Bhajan and satsang evenings, association meetings, birthdays and anniversaries, poojas, and the large mixed-family gatherings that fill a clubhouse to capacity.

Menus for a room that eats differently

A large share of these events want food that is lighter than the wedding-buffet default: less oil, less chilli heat, more steamed and grilled, khichdi and dal on the table, and food that is easy on the digestion late in the evening. Say so and the kitchen cooks to it — this is a normal instruction, not a compromise.

Satvik and Jain menus, no-onion-no-garlic, and fully vegetarian events are the majority rather than the exception. Sugar-free dessert options are worth asking for and we can plan them in.

Staffing that suits the occasion

A clubhouse event usually needs fewer servers and more care: help with setup and clearing, someone watching the buffet so it stays hot and tidy, and a clean handover at the end of the booking. For anything over a hundred guests a captain runs the floor so the hosts are not managing staff during their own event.

Delivery-only is fine too, if the committee prefers to serve it themselves — we will pack and label it so that works.

Frequently asked questions

Do you cater clubhouse events in Monroe Township?

Yes, regularly. Tell us the venue and the booking window and we plan setup, service and cleanup to fit inside it.

Can you cook lighter, low-oil Indian food?

Yes — less oil, gentler heat, more steamed and grilled dishes, khichdi and dal. It is a common request here and the kitchen cooks to it.

Do you offer fully satvik or Jain menus?

Yes, planned as a menu from the start, including no onion and no garlic where the occasion requires it.

Can we just have the food delivered and serve it ourselves?

Yes. We will pack, label and set it up so a committee can run the service, or provide staff if you would rather not.
