Indian catering · all across New Jersey

A little spice.
A lot of joy.
Let’s celebrate.

Bring your people together over regional Indian menus, live stations and warm hospitality — the food, the serving staff and the banquet hall, planned by one partner instead of three.

Atithi devo bhava — the guest is god

Hosted, not just catered.

Anyone can deliver trays. The difference between a good evening and a long one is who is standing in the room when the second batch of rotis is late, when the pooja runs over, and when two hundred people want chai at the same time. That is the job we actually do.

A captain on your floor

One named person running service on every event over 100 guests. You have their number, not a call centre.

Staff who know the occasion

Servers who know when the pooja pauses the meal, which plate goes out first at a sangeet, and what Jain means in a kitchen.

You sit down

Setup, topping up, clearing and cleanup are ours. You eat hot food with your own guests, at your own event.

Twenty-five guests or two and a half thousand — same team, same captain, same promise. And the money still works: a priced quote in 60 minutes, and if you are holding a comparable written quote — same menu, headcount, service level and date — we will beat it.

What will Indian catering actually cost?

Any event from 25 to 2,500 guests. Move the numbers and see a real range before you talk to anyone — no form, no phone number. When you want it confirmed, that takes 60 minutes.

Service level
Chafing dishes set up and topped up. Light staffing.
Menu
The usual spread — veg mains plus chicken
Occasion
Estimated food and service$3,900–$5,700$26–$38 per guest
Included
  • Food and chafing setup
  • Setup and takedown
  • Disposable plates and cutlery
  • 1 attendant per ~60 guests
Not included
  • Full table service
  • China, linen and glassware
Compared, not guessedOne brief goes to several partner kitchens, so the price you see is a comparison rather than a single opinion. Show us a comparable written quote and we will tell you honestly whether it can be beaten.

An estimate, not a quote — sales tax, travel outside our core NJ area, and anything unusual on the day are confirmed in writing before you pay a deposit. Rates shown are current New Jersey market ranges while our own rate card is being finalised.

Gather well

Every reason to celebrate.

Big milestones. Small get-togethers.
Always a table worth gathering around.

Questions before you book

ChefWaala, explained.

How does ChefWaala plan around my budget?

Tell us your guest count, target dollars per person or total event budget, any hard ceiling, what the budget must cover and what matters most. Those details help narrow the menu and service direction. The planning calculator only translates your own target between per-person and total numbers; it is not a quote.

Can ChefWaala handle corporate catering?

Yes. The planner captures office or corporate venue type, delivery timing, individual meals versus buffet service, invoices or purchase-order needs, dietary labels, recurring needs and other operational details that corporate organizers often care about.

What live catering stations can I request?

Popular requests include live dosa, pani puri and chaat, tandoor or grill, Indo-Chinese wok, kathi rolls, jalebi or dessert stations, and chai or filter coffee service. Final availability depends on venue rules, utilities, open-flame restrictions, insurance requirements and partner availability.

Can I mix Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Andhra and North Indian dishes?

Yes. Mixed regional menus can work well for multi-generational and corporate crowds. ChefWaala can start with your must-have dishes, protect the regional flavors that matter, and organize the rest around service flow and budget.

Do you support vegetarian, Jain, vegan, halal and allergy-related requests?

You can flag these needs in the planner. Because ChefWaala works with partner kitchens, exact ingredients, preparation practices, certifications and cross-contact risks must be confirmed for the specific kitchen selected before the event.

Do you cover all of New Jersey?

ChefWaala markets across all 21 New Jersey counties. Actual service availability depends on event date, exact venue, travel distance, partner kitchen capacity, staffing and service format.

How many dishes can I choose?

Start with a handful of favorites. The menu guide includes more than 150 ideas across Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Andhra/Telangana, North Indian, Biryani, South Indian, street food, Tandoor, Indo-Chinese, desserts, breads and drinks.
