House events, done properly

A home event has constraints a hall does not: one kitchen already busy with the family’s own cooking, a driveway instead of a loading bay, and neighbours. We bring our own chafing and heat, work out where the buffet goes before the day, and keep the footprint small enough that the house still feels like a house.

Garage and marquee setups are common here through the warmer months, and they change the plan — power, wind, and keeping food hot outdoors are all solvable, but only if we know in advance.

Menus for a mixed room

Old Bridge events tend to be mixed: vegetarian and non-vegetarian, several regions in one family, and a wide age range. The format that works is a broad vegetarian base everyone can eat from, two meat dishes, a biryani, breads in rounds, and a dessert that travels.

We keep vegetarian and non-vegetarian on separate lines with separate serving equipment as standard, because in a mixed room somebody always cares and it costs nothing to do it right.

Halls, temples and the towns nearby

When the guest list outgrows the house, we cater the halls and temple spaces across Old Bridge, Matawan, Aberdeen, Sayreville and Marlboro. If you have not booked a venue, ask — we know which rooms have real kitchen access and which have a hatch and a prayer.

For weddings and large functions we bring captains, servers and equipment, and run the floor so the family are guests at their own event.
