Easy to reach, easy to cater

The road access that makes Sayreville a commuter town also makes it a reliable one for catering: we can reach Parlin, Morgan and the Route 9 corridor without the timing risk that comes with a Turnpike run at the wrong hour. Hot food arrives hot, which is a less obvious part of choosing a caterer than it should be.

It also means guests come from further away — Staten Island, Old Bridge, East Brunswick — so events here tend to run later and need food that holds.

What holds, and what does not

Gravies, biryani and breads hold well across a long evening; fried appetizers do not, which is why we either run them live from a counter or send them in timed rounds rather than laying everything out at once. For a four-hour reception that difference is the whole quality of the food.

A chaat counter solves the same problem while entertaining the queue, and works as well in a hall as in a back garden.

Weddings, receptions and corporate

For weddings and receptions we bring captains, servers, chafing and a plan for setup and cleanup, and we work with the hall on timings rather than arriving and asking. For corporate events at the office parks along Route 9, boxed lunches and labelled trays are usually the better format.

Vegetarian, Jain and no-onion-no-garlic menus are planned as menus, not adaptations.
